In the series Wednesday, plants play a symbolic and sometimes literal role, suggesting a fascination with both the beauty and danger of nature. Allow your guests to highlight their dark side with a Petrifying Plant Bar.
Step One:
Pick your container. Black seems like the obvious choice, but any dark and dreary color will do.
Step Two:
Choose your plant. There are lots of options—Venus Flytrap, Black Dahlia (dahlia cultivar) or Sarracenia. We prefer the Sarracenia, since there’s no need to feed it chunks of meat, it attracts its own prey using its color and scent.
Step Three:
Add your earth elements (rocks, moss, thorns) to complete your petrifying creation.
